Mud Club

2026 - ongoing

On the first Tuesday of every month I host a workshop to learn about clay and practice handbuilding techniques. We work with natural clay sourced locally in Manchester as an effort to connect with the earth and learn to use sustainable materials in the practice of ceramics. No clay is fired in the process but each month I prepare lots of workable clay to show off the material in its finest form.

Mud Club is held at Frida Cooper Ceramics in Pollard Yard.

Common Ground

2025

Common Ground is a collaborative body of work with Freya Boothroyd and Joab Harrison.

While creating Common Ground we participated in walking workshops using materials direct from the land, to enhance our investigations into the two main rock basins of the national park- the White Peak (carboniferous limestone) and the Dark Peak (millstone grit).

The project was funded by ‘Art School Commissions’ during our time at Manchester School of Art and was exhibited during the degree show.
